Traveling While H-4 EAD Is Pending: What You Can and Cannot Do

Whether you can safely travel while your H-4 EAD is pending depends entirely on what you filed and how you filed it.

If you're waiting on your H-4 EAD and need to leave the country, here's the answer: if you already have H-4 status and only filed Form I-765, you can generally travel.
